Australians International, like any commercial enterprise, is always willing to explore ways to increase our revenue, and to "grow" the business. This in turn will allow us to offer more and better services and products to our Subscribers.

We are happy to look at ways to use this web site to help market other products, provided it is done in a way that makes the site more valuable to our supporting Subscribers, and gives them a direct benefit.

Subscribers' interests first
We insist on protecting the interests of our Subscribers, and all products, services, and marketing material must be of value and interest to Australians overseas, and your promotion through this site must offer some benefit to our Subscribers.

"Australian" products
Wherever possible, preference will be given to Australian services and Australian made products, or the products and services of Australian owned businesses, or businesses which employ significant numbers or proportion of Australians, either in Australia or overseas.

Advertising
We will accept paid advertising for products and services, but only if...

1/ the products and services are of significance, value, and benefit to our Subscribers, who are Australians living, working, or visiting overseas;
or
2/ the products and services are offered to our Subscribers at special rates, either discounted or on extended credit terms, or contain some exclusive value-added component;
or
3/ they are specifically enhanced or modified to make them more valuable to our Subscribers;
or
4/ they are offered exclusively to our Subscribers.

Promotion
We are prepared to allow certain "promotions" of appropriate products and services from this site, without direct revenue to our organisation, provided the promotion gives our Subscribers a specific benefit.

This concept applies to situations where the product might not have a unique advantage for our Subscribers, or be specifically designed to be of advantage to Australians while overseas, but there must be a direct and substantial advantage to our Subscribers for purchasing that item through the particular promotion.

Direct sales
In some cases, it might be appropriate to arrange for products and services to be purchased directly through this web site. This can take the form where a Subscriber or other visitor to our site can "click-through" to the supplier organisation, and order, or indeed, purchase the products.

In some situations, this will be organised on a basis where Australians International receives a commission on that sale. Again, we believe this is in the long term interests of our Subscribers, provided the commission is not excessive, and the Subscribers are receiving what they want and need, at a fair price.

Subscribers' self-promotion
We will also look favorably at marketing strategies to allow genuine Subscribers of Australians International to use this site for self-promotion, such as promoting their own abilities or small business interests. We will also consider proposals from larger firms who have sponsored Subscriptions, where that firm wants to use this site for marketing, in line with all the other guidelines set-out on this page.

Restrictions
We reserve and retain the complete and absolute right to refuse, reject, or terminate without notice, any advertising, promotional, or marketing material or strategy which is itself, or promotes any products or services which are, or could reasonably be suspected of being, illegal, fraudulent, fallacious, misleading, immoral, unethical, defamitory, subversive, anti-social, racist, sexist, or otherwise intollerant, overtly political, or in unacceptable or questionable taste.

While we gladly support and encourage the Internet's ability and generous attitude to the freedom of speech, we do not intend to allow anyone to use this site in ways which offend our Subscribers, or the Internet community's acceptable standards, or society's generally accepted standards.
